The 1955 Romance Comics Trial provides an extensive coverage of the landmark legal battle between the Queensland Literature Board of Review and three publishers of comic books. The comics were banned, the publishers took the Board of Review to court and the rest is history. Told through the trial transcripts, affidavits and lavishly illustrated with newspaper clippings and more, this case marked the first time a publisher battled the Government over comic books – and won!
