Abstract |
In this book chapter, I examine how bpNichol explores the materiality of the comics medium to promote a transitional material poetics that sits between avant-garde to postmodern issues, especially his interest in paragrammatic thinking and pataphysics. I suggest that his explorations of these issues through the materiality of comics, renders them manifestos for his approach.
