Abstract |
This text deals with the motif of silence in the Yugoslav partisan comics which was very popular in the former socialist Yugoslavia. After a short introduction to the roots of Yugoslav partisan comics we shows on significant examples of the motif its functional use in the particular works. The process of studying this phenomena brings the results that clearly shows how the silence works in the partisan narrative and how it serves the purposes of communist propaganda.
