Mit dem Festival Comic Meets Theatre richtete das Thalia Theater Halle ein international einmaliges Projekt aus: Erstmals wurden spielerische Reaktionen auf das Phänomen Comic vorgestellt. Dieses Buch dokumentiert die Festivalproduktionen und stellt die Arbeitsweisen der beteiligten Künstler vor. Außerdem reflektieren Essays von Jaqueline Berndt, Pamela Dürr, Stefanie Diekmann, Graffitimuseum und Andreas Platthaus die zeitgenössischen Positionen zwischen Comic, Street-Art, Animationsfilm, Performance, Musik und Theater.
Comic Meets Theatre was the title of a singular project organised and hosted by the Thalia Theatre Halle: It was the first world-wide festival for imaginative responses to the comics phenomenon. This book chronicles the festival's productions, and supplies fascinating insights into the working processes of the people involved. In addition, essays by Jaqueline Berndt, Pictoplasma, Pamela Dürr, Stefanie Diekmann, Andreas Platthaus ant Graffitimuseum provide brief introductions to the current positions in the fields of comics, street art animated film, music, performance and theatre.
