Abstract |
Exploring the influence action films have on audiences, this book considers how people relate to and are influenced by such films as Judge Dredd. While a considerable amount of audience research has been done within the media studies tradition, the scope of the research has not previously been limited to the audiences of these types of film. This study delves specifically into audiences of this specific genre of film, which has been a mainstay of Hollywood since the mid-1970s.
