| Abstract |
|
The paper presents a comparative analysis of comics dealing with the Solidarność movement. It highlights the patterns of pathos and glorification which recur in these comics, and the different approaches to the propagandistic depiction of Solidarność in an underground comic published in 1984, compared to the comics produced on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Solidarity’s emergence, within the framework of the governmental program “Patriotism of Tomorrow”.
