Abstract
[Abstract in English below]

This article is devoted to the portrayal of the decline of modern ideology in the comic strip La Tour by Benoît Peeters and François Schuiten. The architecture of the imaginary town reveals, through analogy, the social organisation and the cult of progress which are caracteristic of modernity. Its fall metaphorises the consensual discourse at the end which marks the ultimate years of twentieth century and against which the authors fight thanks to a constant interplay of intertextual references.
