|
Comics have proven particularly productive in addressing various types of illness, as extensive and ongoing research on Graphic Medicine has been showing. This article analyzes comics about eating disorders in terms of their visual critique of body politics, discusses embodiment processes, and reveals the potential of comics to explore mental health issues through the creative, self-reflexive use of the medium’s formal possibilities.
